"Michael and Craig brought an incredible amount of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to our school. Their workshops actively engaged students from kindergarten through sixth grade, making beatboxing accessible, interactive, and fun for all ages. Students were excited to participate and inspired by the musicianship and artistry they witnessed. The program was both educational and entertaining, and it was a wonderful way to broaden our students' understanding of vocal music and contemporary musical expression. We were so grateful to have them at Seely Place Elementary!"

Face Music (Doing more with Beatbox):
This presentation has been featured at world-renowned A Cappella festivals such as BOSS (Boston Sings), SoJam, and SingStrong NY!
In this class, students will learn to do more with beatbox in ways that still support the arrangement, discover what successful solo, tag team, and crew beatboxers around the world do to make innovative music, and learn how to incorporate elements of solo beatbox into a cappella music to push the boundaries of what kinds of music we can make with our faces. Being a creative beatboxer/vocal percussionist does not mean stealing the spotlight; it means exploring the spectrum of emotion we can express with percussive sounds.
Belting Breakthroughs:
This vocal workshop is for choirs working on pop and musical theater repertoire; this workshop covers safe and healthy belting techniques. With a background in vocal pedagogy, as well as experience at Berklee College of Music and the BroadwayVox Vocal Studio in NYC, Forest Fire will ensure your students learn the sounds required for today’s repertoire. Your students will learn ways to connect belting to their speech sounds, belting body engagement, and essential listening skills for belting in an ensemble.
